I started Design Slices<\/em><\/strong> as a side project with my friends, and fellow CGL alumni, David<\/a> and Raven.
We decided to bring it forward after Rekea<\/em><\/strong>, our entry for the 2020 Global Game Jam<\/a> (themed “Repair”), proved too good to be left by itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a successful application for funding<\/a> by the regional Media Board of North Rhine-Westphalia, we spent two months expanding the base concept. Bringing it past the simple mockery of big furniture brands’ language, we transformed it into a playful commentary on the history of European Design. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hopefully, one day, we’ll have the chance to bring this concept to life but, for now, I think it is a good example of why I love Game Jams<\/a> so much: you never know who you’ll meet and what will come out of it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
